Code Green - Activities

Since its emergence the code green community is continuously organizing various activities for students to make them familiar with its motive.

Community regularly calls the members for the meetings and discussions on the various issues. Community is looking ahead to promote the paper saving methods in the college and in the city as well. The efforts of code green are resulting in ideas and these ideas turn into reality. At present the community is focusing on the promotion of paper recycling in the college. They have placed recycle bins in the various departments in the college. The community always welcomes new ideas to help this world make a better place to live.

Earth Hour 2010 on March 27 - Let us make the Difference!

To make a stand against the climate change, 2.2 million homes and businesses turned their lights off in Sydney, Australia in 2007. This is where the Earth Hour originated from. Earth Hour 2010 is organized by World Wide Fund for Nature, (WWFN) and this is one of the world’s largest mass participation event.
The second Earth Hour in 2008 witnessed more than 50 million people across 35 countries participating. 88 countries participated in the third Earth Hour and over 4000 cities officially switched off to pledge their support for the planet. This made Earth Hour 2009 the world’s biggest global climate change initiative.
To raise cognizance of climate change, Earth Hour 2010 is going to take place on 27th March, 2010, Saturday. Iconic buildings and landmarks from Europe to Asia to the Americas will stand in darkness.
To save our Planet, people from all parts will turn off their lights for one hour and join together to save the Planet.

The Code Green Seminar - 27-03-2010

Code green came into existence one year ago, it was nowhere in the picture
before a few Students took the initiative along with Ms. Annette West, Manager for Corporate Relations, CSE, Ambabai, Jhansi.
Since then The community is regularly working to save trees, promote paper recycling weather inside or outside the college campus and as the result of this we have organized the code green seminar.

WE, THE inhabitants of earth, have reached that stage where we need to redesign and reconsider our lifestyles for further survival on this planet. We are concerned about trees, who give us something without which we can't even think about living on this planet yes we are talking about OXYGEN.

That's why we have taken this initiative to fight for our planet for our existence on this planet, to make this world a better place to live.
